Jaguaretama is a small town in the interior of Ceará, in north-eastern Brazil, home to around eighteen thousand people across the town and its surrounding rural district. From above, the urban area looks compact. A modest cluster of streets sits in a wide landscape where rural roads and dirt tracks spread out toward farms and smaller settlements.
