Jiaogong Map Poster & Print
Jiaogong is in the mountainous south of Gansu Province in western China, part of the rugged country around Longnan. In terrain like this, towns follow the valleys. Jiaogong's streets run along the floor of a narrow valley, and steep slopes rise on either side.
From above, the settlement looks long and thin. Its main road follows the river, and side streets climb only a short distance before the land becomes too steep to build on. Farm terraces and small villages fill whatever flatter ground the hillsides offer, joined by roads that switch back and forth up the slopes.
