Kasaoka Map Poster & Print
Kasaoka is on the Seto Inland Sea coast in the southwest of Okayama Prefecture. The town centre sits between wooded hills and the harbour. Offshore, the Kasaoka Islands are scattered across the water, so the map has an unusual amount of coastline for a town of its size.
East of the centre lies a very large area of reclaimed land, created by closing off part of Kasaoka Bay. On a map it appears as a vast, flat patchwork of straight-edged fields and drainage channels, in complete contrast to the island-dotted sea beside it.
