Killeen Map Poster & Print
Killeen is closely tied to Fort Hood, one of the largest military installations in the United States, which takes up the land to the north and west. On the map, the city's streets stop at the edge of the base, and open training land fills the rest of the frame. The city itself spreads south and east from that boundary.
The old downtown sits beside the railway that the town was founded on in 1882, in a small grid of blocks. US Highway 190 runs east and west across the city, and shopping centres and newer subdivisions line it. Further out, suburbs spread in curving streets across the rolling land of Central Texas.
