Kretinga Map Poster & Print
Kretinga lies in western Lithuania, in Klaipėda County, a short distance inland from the Baltic resort of Palanga. The Akmena river winds through the town, and from above its course is traced by strips of greenery and parkland running between neighbourhoods of houses and apartment blocks.
The town is known for its manor, a former residence of the Tyszkiewicz family, which now houses the Kretinga Museum and a large winter garden. The surrounding park forms one of the biggest green areas on the map. Nearby, a Franciscan monastery and church mark the older religious centre of the town.
