Leposaviq, also known as Leposavić, is a town in northern Kosovo, set in the valley of the Ibar River. From above, the valley dictates everything: the town stretches along the river in a long, thin shape, and the surrounding hills leave little room for streets to spread sideways. The result is a linear settlement that follows the water's bends.
A main road and a railway line run through the valley beside the river, so the map shows three parallel lines moving together: water, road and track. Short side streets climb a little way up the slopes before giving way to the terrain. The mountains of the Kopaonik range rise to the east of the valley.
