Luohuang Map Poster & Print
Luohuang is a town within Jiangjin District of Chongqing Municipality, set on the banks of the Yangtze upstream from the city centre. As in much of the Chongqing region, flat land is scarce, so the town is squeezed between the river and the hills, with streets running parallel to the water and climbing where the slopes allow.
The Yangtze is the most prominent feature on a Luohuang map poster. It sweeps past in a broad, dark band, far wider than any street, and defines the edge of the town. Industrial sites, including a large power station, occupy parts of the riverfront, taking advantage of water and river transport.
Away from the river, the street pattern becomes more fragmented, divided by ridges and valleys into separate clusters of buildings linked by winding roads.
