Gibralfaro and Alcazaba
The castle hill east of the centre, with the Moorish fortress on its lower slope, rises as a green, walled shape directly above the old town streets.

Málaga Map Poster & Print
Málaga lies on the Mediterranean coast of Andalusia, and its map is framed by the sea to the south and mountains to the north. The historic centre sits between the port and the hill of Gibralfaro, crowned by its castle and linked to the Alcazaba below. West of the centre, the channel of the Guadalmedina River runs to the sea, dividing the old town from the districts beyond.
The city was founded by the Phoenicians and later became an important Moorish city, whose fortifications still dominate the centre. Pablo Picasso was born here in 1881, and the Museo Picasso Málaga stands in the old town. Today the renovated port area, with Muelle Uno and the glass cube of the Centre Pompidou Málaga, joins the centre to the sea.
A Málaga map poster makes the relationship between the old town, the hill and the port easy to read. The narrow streets around Calle Larios form a dense patch, the Guadalmedina a long straight line, and the waterfront a series of sharp harbour shapes. Beaches stretch east along the coast, giving the print a wide, open edge.

Guadalmedina channel
The river channel runs straight south through the city to the Mediterranean, a clear divide crossed by several bridges between the old town and western districts.
Port and Muelle Uno
The harbour's quays and breakwaters sit directly beside the centre, and the renovated waterfront gives the southern edge of the map a crisp, geometric outline.

Málaga is a city people come back to, for the light, the sea and the old town streets. A map poster keeps a holiday, a year abroad or a move to the Costa del Sol present in a quieter, more lasting way.
Add a title, a subtitle with the date you arrived and a coordinates line for your street. Then choose one of five styles, Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, to match anything from a white wall to a darker study.
