Neu-Anspach Map Poster & Print
Neu-Anspach lies in the Hochtaunuskreis in Hesse, north of the Taunus ridge and within reach of Frankfurt. It was formed in 1970 by merging the villages of Anspach, Hausen-Arnsbach, Rod am Berg and Westerfeld. On the map the old village cores are still visible, linked by newer residential areas that grew as the town became popular with commuters.
The town sits on the rolling upland of the Usinger Land, with forest covering the hills that frame it on several sides. The Taunusbahn railway runs through town toward Frankfurt, and small streams run through the valleys between the districts. The mix of older village lanes, planned post-war housing and open meadow makes a varied map.
Neu-Anspach is home to the Hessenpark, an open-air museum where historic buildings from across Hesse have been rebuilt as a village. The open-air museum recreates a Hessian village with rebuilt historic houses, a market square and farmland. It shows as a small, separate settlement on the map.
