Nyunzu is a town in Tanganyika province, in the south-east of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. On a map it appears as a modest cluster of streets set in wide, open land, with the railway between Kabalo and Kalemie passing close by. The town serves as a local administrative and market centre for a large, thinly populated territory.
