Shuangfu Map Poster & Print
Shuangfu lies in Jiangjin District, in the south-west of Chongqing Municipality, on rolling land not far from the Yangtze River. In recent years it has grown rapidly as a new urban area. The map shows the result: broad, straight avenues and large planned blocks laid across what was once farmland and low hills.
Chongqing's terrain is rarely flat, and even in newer districts the planners have had to work around ridges and valleys. This creates an interesting tension on the map. Some roads run in long, confident lines, while others curve to follow the slope, and pockets of green remain where the ground is too steep to build on. The Yangtze winds past a short distance away.
