Sigli is a town on the northern coast of Aceh, at the tip of Sumatra, and serves as the administrative centre of Pidie Regency. On a map, the coastline runs along the town's northern edge, with the sea to one side and a flat coastal plain of rice fields and villages stretching inland toward the mountains.
