Terrell Map Poster & Print
Terrell lies in Kaufman County, east of Dallas, along Interstate 20 and the older route of US 80. The town grew up beside the railway in the 1870s, and on a map the downtown grid still lines up with the tracks. Streets form neat blocks around the historic centre, while newer neighbourhoods and commercial strips spread toward the highways.
During the Second World War, Terrell hosted the No. 1 British Flying Training School, where Royal Air Force cadets learned to fly under the Texas sky. A museum at the municipal airport now tells that story. The airport's runways are a clear feature on the edge of the town map.
