Yanbu Map Poster & Print
Yanbu stretches along the Red Sea coast of western Saudi Arabia, and the coastline forms the whole western edge of the map. The city has two main parts: the older town of Yanbu al-Bahr around the historic harbour, and Yanbu Industrial City further south, a large planned development with refineries, a port and residential districts.
For centuries Yanbu served as the port for Medina, and pilgrims and goods passed through it. In the old town, the house where T. E. Lawrence is said to have stayed during the First World War is still pointed out to visitors.
The industrial city is laid out on a very regular plan, with broad avenues, landscaped corniches and a clear separation between industrial and residential zones. A Yanbu map poster shows both parts, one grown over time and one designed on paper, side by side along the sea.
