Ampasimanolotra Map Poster & Print
Ampasimanolotra, still widely known by its older name Brickaville, lies on the humid east coast of Madagascar in the Atsinanana region. It sits on the low coastal plain between the escarpment of the highlands and the Indian Ocean, and on the main route that links the capital, Antananarivo, with the port city of Toamasina, which makes it a familiar stop for travellers.
That position shapes the map. The national road RN2 and the railway toward Toamasina both pass through, and the town has grown along them near the Rianila River. From above, the transport lines form the backbone of the plan, with a compact cluster of streets and houses gathered around the crossing and spreading into the green lowland.
Much of the surrounding land is river floodplain and farmland, laced with channels and wet ground. An Ampasimanolotra map poster captures that meeting of road, rail and water, a combination that explains why the town exists where it does and gives the print a clear, legible structure.

Rianila River
The river winds across the plain beside the town, its curves contrasting with the straighter lines of road and railway and softening the lower part of the map.
Railway line
The line toward the coast passes close to the centre, adding a second long route that crosses the frame and underlines the town's role as a waypoint on the way to the sea.
