Kortet
Mangaldai is the administrative headquarters of Darrang district in Assam, on the northern side of the Brahmaputra valley. From above it reads as a modest, contained town: a denser core of roads and buildings where offices, markets and schools cluster, surrounded by a much looser pattern of lanes that fade into cultivated land. The river itself runs some distance to the south, but its wide floodplain shapes everything around the town.
On a map the landscape is almost entirely level, and that shows in the drawing. Roads do not bend around hills or climb slopes; they run fairly straight between settlements, meeting at junctions that act as small local centres. Between them lie irregular plots, scattered water bodies and the fine lines of village tracks. A Mangaldai map poster captures this quiet balance between a working town and the open agricultural country that surrounds it.
The wider district runs north from the Brahmaputra towards the Himalayan foothills along the Bhutan border, and much of Assam's north bank shares this character of rice fields, small streams and scattered hamlets. Mangaldai sits within that pattern as a local hub for administration and trade rather than a large city, with a population of around twenty-six thousand. Its map is spare and unhurried, which suits a minimalist black-and-white print.

Beyond the built-up area the map opens into broad, level ground typical of the Brahmaputra's north bank, crossed by field boundaries, small watercourses and the thin lines of rural roads.
A handful of roads leave the town in different directions towards neighbouring villages and district towns, giving the composition a simple structure of lines spreading out from a single centre.

Hvorfor Mangaldai
For people who grew up in Mangaldai or have family in Darrang, this map is a reminder of familiar roads and the edge where town gives way to fields. It is a quiet, personal image of a place that rarely appears on printed maps or souvenir shelves.
You can change the title, subtitle and coordinates line to mark a hometown, a wedding or a year spent there, and choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. It comes as a $9 set of HD digital files or as a printed poster, with an optional wooden frame.
