Akivīdu Map Poster & Print
Akivīdu is a town in the Godavari delta region of Andhra Pradesh, close to Kolleru Lake, one of the largest freshwater lakes in India. The landscape around it is flat and full of water, and on a map the town appears as a compact cluster of streets surrounded by canals, fields and an extensive pattern of ponds.
The area is known for aquaculture, and fish and prawn ponds cover large parts of the countryside around the town. Seen from above, these ponds form a remarkable geometric patchwork of rectangles divided by narrow embankments, alongside the irrigation canals that run through this fertile delta.
An Akivīdu map poster turns that watery geometry into a striking design. The small town centre stands out among straight canals and repeating pond shapes, creating a composition that is both orderly and unusual. It is a portrait of a place where land and water are tightly interlocked and carefully managed.

Aquaculture patchwork
Fish and prawn ponds cover the land around town in rectangular blocks separated by embankments, creating an eye-catching grid visible from above.
Near Kolleru Lake
The town lies close to Kolleru Lake, a large freshwater wetland important for birds and fisheries, which influences the entire landscape of the area.
