Ayang-ni Map Poster & Print
Ayang-ni lies in South Hwanghae Province in the south-west of North Korea, a region of broad lowlands that is one of the country's main rice-growing areas. On a map, the settlement appears as a modest cluster of buildings and roads surrounded by an extensive pattern of fields.
Open-source map data for North Korea is limited, so the map is sparse compared with most places. What it does show is typical of the Hwanghae plains: a few straight roads, irrigation channels and field divisions laid out in rectangles, with low hills rising at the edges of the lowland. An Ayang-ni map poster is mostly about that agricultural geometry.
The provincial capital, Haeju, lies to the south on the Yellow Sea coast, and the lowland between them is crossed by roads and rail lines. We keep the description general because reliable detail about Ayang-ni itself is scarce. The poster shows only what the map data contains, which gives it a quiet, minimal look.

Field geometry
Straight roads and rectangular field boundaries make up most of the map, creating a regular pattern across the flat ground.
Sparse map data
Mapping of North Korea is limited, so the poster shows a spare set of lines and leaves plenty of empty space on the sheet.
