South of the city, the estuary spreads into channels, islands and tidal flats, forming a complex, delicate shoreline that contrasts with the regular streets inland.

Bahía Blanca Map Poster & Print
Bahía Blanca lies at the head of a wide estuary on the Atlantic coast of Argentina, where the pampas meet the sea. The city itself sits slightly inland on gently rising ground, with a regular grid of blocks centred on Plaza Rivadavia. Toward the south, the streets give way to the port districts and to the broad tidal flats and channels of the estuary, which draw an intricate shoreline on the map.
The port of Ingeniero White, one of the country's most important deep-water ports, handles grain from the surrounding farmland and serves the nearby petrochemical complex. The city is also home to the Universidad Nacional del Sur and has a strong basketball tradition, most famously as the hometown of Manu Ginóbili. The Napostá stream runs through the city toward the estuary.
A Bahía Blanca map poster combines two very different geometries: the orderly grid of an Argentine city and the ragged edges of a tidal estuary. In black and white, the blocks form a crisp, even texture while the railway lines and port docks add strong diagonals. To the south, the channels and flats dissolve into fine, organic lines.

Port of Ingeniero White
The port district, with its docks, rail yards and industrial zones, forms a distinct cluster of angular shapes where the city meets the water.

Warum Bahía Blanca
Eine Karte mit Bedeutung
Bahía Blanca is often seen as a gateway to Patagonia, but for the people who live there it has an identity of its own, from the port to the university. A map of the grid and the estuary is a quiet tribute to that.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, adding a barrio, a club or a date. Five styles are available, including Classic black & white, Noir and Sand, and printed posters come on matte paper with an optional wooden frame.
