The Paraguay River
The river runs past the edge of town in wide curves. It is the strongest line on the poster, and it sets which way the whole street plan faces.

Barra do Bugres Map Poster & Print
Barra do Bugres sits in the west of Mato Grosso, and the river is the most important thing on its map. The Paraguay River runs past the town, and the streets are laid out along its bank. Seen from above, the built-up area looks like a compact block pressed against the water, with open country around it.
The name refers to a river mouth, and the map shows why. Where streams join the main channel, the linework shows water and land meeting. The town has a simple street grid. Blocks are regular, avenues run straight, and lines thin out quickly at the edges, where roads turn into rural tracks through wide, flat land.
A Barra do Bugres map poster keeps this relationship simple: a pale town grid on one side and the curving line of a major South American river on the other. In black and white, the contrast between built-up blocks and empty land becomes the subject. Without colour, you can see how the town was placed on the water.

A river-mouth setting
True to its name, the town sits where smaller waterways meet the main river. On the map, the channels branch and join close to the streets.
Grid and open land
Straight streets form a tight core. Past it, the lines spread out into long rural roads, and the town ends sharply against the plain.
