Dense old core
The historic centre is a compact knot of narrow, winding lanes. It prints as the darkest and most detailed part of the map.

Bhīnmāl Map Poster
Bhīnmāl lies in Jalore district in southwestern Rajasthan, on flat, semi-arid land that runs towards the Gujarat border. Its historic centre is dense, with narrow lanes that twist between houses, temples and small bazaars. Newer neighbourhoods spread out from this core along straighter roads, and fields and scrub begin soon after.
The town is one of the oldest in the region. Known in early records as Bhillamala or Shrimal, it was once an important capital of the Gurjara lands. It is also associated with the seventh-century mathematician and astronomer Brahmagupta, whose work on arithmetic and zero is still cited in histories of mathematics.
A Bhīnmāl map poster brings out the contrast between the old town and its surroundings. The centre is an intricate cluster of short, irregular streets, and the outer roads are longer and calmer. This gives the print a clear focal point, much like looking down at a place that grew slowly over many centuries.

Radiating roads
Main roads leave the old town in several directions towards Jalore and nearby villages. They form clear spokes that give the composition its structure.
Flat surroundings
On the open plain, the town's outline is easy to read. Its streets fade into farm tracks with no hills or rivers to interrupt them.
