Bom Jesus das Selvas Map Poster & Print
Bom Jesus das Selvas is a municipality in the western part of Maranhão, in northern Brazil, in a region that was forested until relatively recent settlement opened it to farming and ranching. The name itself, which refers to the forest, reflects that history. On a map the town appears as a compact, planned-looking set of blocks within a wide rural landscape.
Towns in this part of Maranhão are generally young, and their street patterns show it: regular rectangular blocks, straight streets and a clear main road connecting the centre to the wider region. Beyond the urban area, the map shows long tracks through pasture and fields, with scattered patches of remaining vegetation.
A Bom Jesus das Selvas map poster makes the most of this clarity. The grid gives the design a disciplined structure, while the surrounding emptiness provides space and balance. It suits minimalist styles particularly well, where the neat blocks can stand out against a plain background.
