Colomba Map Poster & Print
Colomba, also called Colomba Costa Cuca, lies in the department of Quetzaltenango, on the Pacific-facing slope of the Guatemalan highlands. On a map, the town centre has a compact grid of blocks around its central square, in the way of many towns in the region. Outside the centre, roads and paths wind through hilly, ravine-cut terrain covered in farms.
This part of Quetzaltenango descends from the volcanic highlands toward the coastal lowlands, and its mild, humid climate suits coffee. The area around Colomba is known for coffee fincas, and the town serves the rural communities spread across the slopes. It is a working agricultural town rather than a tourist centre.
A Colomba map poster combines two patterns: the neat grid around the town square and the curving rural roads outside it. The ravines and slopes leave gaps in the network and give the edges of the map an irregular shape. It makes a quiet, detailed picture of a coffee-country town on Guatemala's Pacific slope.

Winding rural roads
Outside the centre, roads curve along the hillsides and around ravines, giving the edges of the map looping, organic lines.
Coffee slopes
The surrounding farmland climbs and falls with the terrain, and the poster shows scattered tracks leading off toward fincas across the slopes.
