Carrick Roads
The wide, branching estuary fills much of the map with water, its creeks and inlets reaching inland toward Truro and giving the poster a dramatic natural form.

Falmouth Map Poster & Print
Falmouth sits near the southern tip of Cornwall, on the western side of the Fal estuary where it opens to the sea. The town stretches along a narrow neck of land between the harbour and the beaches of Falmouth Bay. On the map, streets climb up from the waterfront, a working dockyard lines the harbour, and a rocky headland points out to sea.
The estuary, known as Carrick Roads, is one of the largest natural harbours in the world. It made Falmouth an important port for centuries, including as the base of the Packet Service that carried mail across the Atlantic and beyond. On the headland stands Pendennis Castle, built under Henry VIII to guard the harbour mouth.
Today the town is known for its maritime museum, its university and its sailing. A Falmouth map poster traces the long, winding coastline, the harbour piers and the close streets of the old town, set against the broad sweep of water that has shaped life here for centuries.

Warum Falmouth
Eine Karte mit Bedeutung
Falmouth attracts sailors, students and people who fall for its light and its harbour. The map suits a coastal home, a sailor's study, or anyone who spent their university years here and still thinks of the view across the Roads.
Add a boat name, a graduation year or a wedding date as your subtitle, and edit the title and coordinates line. Blueprint and Noir suit the harbour, and Classic black & white, Paper and Sand work just as well. Digital files are $9.
