Main road axis
The principal road runs through the town and organises it. Shops and public buildings tend to line it, while quieter lanes branch off into residential areas.

Hadero Map Poster & Print
Hadero sits in the highlands of the Central Ethiopia Region, in the Kembata Tembaro area, where rolling hills are farmed right up to their crests. From above, the town is a modest cluster of streets gathered around a main road, with tracks and footpaths fanning out into the countryside. The layout is informal and follows the slope, with little of the regular grid found in planned towns.
The land around it is among the more densely settled rural areas of Ethiopia. Homesteads sit within their own garden plots, and in this region those gardens are traditionally planted with enset, the broad-leaved false banana that is a staple food. On a map this produces a fine, even scatter of small parcels and paths covering the hills.
A Hadero map poster captures a place that most maps show only as a dot. At street scale it shows the real texture of the town: the road that brings in traffic and trade, the lanes that branch toward homesteads, and the way the town fades gradually into farmland rather than ending at a sharp edge.

Highland farmland
The hills around Hadero are farmed in small plots. Fields, paths and homesteads form a closely textured surface that fills the margins of the poster.
Soft town edges
The built-up area does not stop at a ring road or wall. It thins gradually into scattered houses and gardens, a gentle gradient that reads well in black and white.

Warum Hadero
Eine Karte mit Bedeutung
For people from Kembata living in Addis Ababa or abroad, Hadero is not a dot on a national map but a specific set of roads and hills. A poster of the town is a calm, graphic reminder of home that sits comfortably in a modern interior.
Personalise the title and subtitle, perhaps with a family name or a year, and keep or edit the coordinates line. Five styles are available, from Classic black & white to Sand. Get the $9 HD files or a printed poster shipped from a print partner.
