Castle rock
A steep outcrop rises in the centre of town, carved with ancient tombs. Streets curve around its base, which gives the old quarter its compact shape.

İskilip Map Poster & Print
İskilip is a town in Çorum province in north-central Anatolia. On a map, its old core shows up as a tight tangle of streets around a steep rock outcrop that rises from the middle of town. Newer neighbourhoods spread outward along the valley in a more regular pattern, and roads leave toward surrounding villages and farmland.
The rock at the centre of town holds ancient rock-cut tombs carved into its face, usually associated with the Paphlagonian period. They are one of İskilip's best-known sights. The town is also known across Turkey for İskilip dolması, a dish of rice and meat slow-cooked in a copper pot, often prepared for weddings and special gatherings.
An İskilip map poster pairs the irregular lanes of the historic centre with the clearer blocks of later growth. The outcrop appears as a knot that the streets bend around, a reminder that the town grew up beside this landmark. In black and white, the contrast between the old and new quarters becomes the main subject.

Old quarter lanes
Narrow, irregular streets surround the rock. They form the densest and most intricate part of the map.
Valley extensions
Newer neighbourhoods and roads stretch out along the valley floor. Their straighter lines lead toward the fields and villages of Çorum province.
