Itaparica Map Poster & Print
Itaparica sits at the northern point of the island of the same name, the largest island in the Baía de Todos os Santos. From above, the town is a small cluster of streets pressed against the shoreline, with water on three sides and the green body of the island stretching south behind it. The coast curves in soft beaches and small points, and across the bay lies Salvador.
The town is one of the older settlements in Bahia, and its centre keeps a colonial street pattern of short, irregular blocks. At the northern tip stands the Forte de São Lourenço, a reminder of the island's strategic position at the mouth of the bay. Itaparica played a notable part in the fighting for Bahia's independence in 1822 and 1823, and that history is still commemorated locally.
An Itaparica map poster works because the geography is so clear: town, point, bay and the city on the other side. In black ink on white, the island reads as a solid form and the sea as open space. It suits anyone who has spent summers on the island, crossed the bay by boat or has family roots in this corner of Bahia.

Colonial street pattern
Short, slightly irregular blocks in the historic centre contrast with the looser grid of newer neighbourhoods and holiday houses further along the shore.
Bay of All Saints
Wide open water separates the island from Salvador. Printed as empty space, the bay gives the composition breathing room and a strong sense of place.

Warum Itaparica
Eine Karte mit Bedeutung
Itaparica is a place of summers, holidays and family houses by the water. A poster of its point and shoreline brings that calm into an apartment in Salvador or a home far from Bahia.
Add your own title, a subtitle such as a family name or summer, and edit the coordinates line if you like. Five styles are available: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Blueprint suits the bay especially well.
