Edge of the plain
The town lies where the Kanto Plain meets higher ground, so the map shifts from a denser weave of lanes to sparser lines as the land rises toward the hills.

Kanekomachi Map Poster & Print
Kanekomachi sits in Gunma Prefecture, in the part of inland Japan where the wide, flat Kanto Plain starts to break up into foothills. From above, the town reads as a loose cluster of lanes and houses among cultivated land. The street pattern is irregular rather than planned, following old field boundaries, waterways and the natural lie of the ground.
On a black-and-white print, this kind of landscape shows up in fine detail. Narrow roads branch and rejoin, short spurs end at farmhouses, and the heavier line of a regional road cuts through the fabric. Further out, the linework thins as the terrain rises and settlement gives way to wooded slopes, so the edge of the map feels softer than the centre.
A Kanekomachi map poster suits anyone with a personal tie to this corner of Gunma, whether through family, a stay in the countryside or a road trip through the prefecture. The composition is quiet and mostly made of small lines. Close up, the map turns out to be more intricate than its scale would suggest.

Organic street pattern
There is no imposed grid here. Roads bend with field edges and waterways, giving the print an irregular, handmade texture typical of rural Japanese settlements.
Farmland in between
Open cultivated land between clusters of houses leaves pale space on the sheet, which lets the scattered building groups and connecting roads stand out clearly.
