Horseshoe harbour
The main bay forms an almost enclosed curve. The town's quays and streets wrap around it, giving the map one clear and memorable centre.

Kastellorizo Map Poster & Print
Kastellorizo, officially Megisti, is the easternmost inhabited island of Greece. It lies only a short stretch of water from the Turkish town of Kaş. From above it is a compact knot of bare rock a few kilometres across, ringed by cliffs and small coves. The Anatolian mainland looms close on the map, which makes its position unusually clear.
Almost all of the island's life is concentrated around one harbour. A near-circular bay opens to the northeast, and the town's waterfront curves around it in a tight horseshoe, with the streets stepping up the slopes behind. The rest of the island is largely empty ground, crossed by a few paths and marked by scattered chapels and old fortifications.
The harbour's painted house fronts became widely known through Mediterraneo, the 1991 Italian film shot here that went on to win an Academy Award. A Kastellorizo map poster keeps the focus on that tight arc of waterfront. The small island sits within its wider frame of sea and mainland.

The nearby mainland
The Turkish coast lies just across the strait. Framed together, the island and the mainland make a striking composition of land and narrow water.
Rocky interior
Beyond the harbour the island is mostly open, stony upland, so the map stays quiet and spare around its single settlement.

Warum Kastellorizo
Eine Karte mit Bedeutung
Kastellorizo is often the far end of a long journey, and a map of it holds that sense of arriving somewhere remote. The small, sculpted outline suits a hallway or a reading corner, where a quiet image works better than a busy one.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line with a name, a date or a note about the crossing. Then choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand.
