On a map, the settlement is a small network of lanes and roads, and fields and open ground spread around it in an irregular pattern.
This part of Jharkhand is known for its mineral wealth and industry as well as for farming, and small towns in the area often sit between agricultural land and the industrial centres of the plateau. Kedia is one of many such places, known mostly to the people who live there and in the surrounding villages.
