Kilosa Map Poster & Print
Kilosa is a district town in Morogoro Region, in central-eastern Tanzania, set in a valley where the lowlands meet the hills of the interior. On the map, it is a modest, compact town with a loose grid of streets close to the railway, surrounded by fields, scattered homesteads and tracks leading into the countryside.
The town grew around the Central Railway, the line built in the German colonial period that crosses Tanzania from Dar es Salaam towards Lake Tanganyika. The line still passes through Kilosa, and the station and tracks remain the main organising feature of the town, with the river and the surrounding hills setting its natural limits.
A Kilosa map poster presents a small place with a clear structure: the railway running through, a handful of main roads, and a gentle transition from town streets to open farmland. In the minimalist style, the simplicity is the point, a quiet, readable portrait of a town shaped by the line that made it.

Town grid
Near the station, streets form a loose rectangular grid, the most regular part of the map before the pattern opens out into rural lanes.
Valley and hills
The town lies on low ground with hills rising beyond, and the terrain gently shapes where the roads run and where the built-up area stops.
