Lerma de Villada Map Poster & Print
Lerma de Villada sits on the high plain of the Toluca Valley in the State of Mexico, between the city of Toluca and the mountains that separate the valley from Mexico City. The map shows an old central grid surrounded by newer neighbourhoods, large industrial plots and the wide lines of the main highway corridor.
The name comes from the Lerma River, which begins in this valley. The river and its wetlands, the Ciénegas de Lerma, appear as low, marshy ground with meandering channels. They contrast with the straight roads and the rectangular factory blocks nearby. Together they turn the map into a study of water and industry side by side.
A Lerma de Villada map poster shows a town that has grown quickly along one of the busiest routes in central Mexico while keeping its historic core. The mountains to the east add contour lines to one edge of the frame and give the flat valley a clear boundary.
