Narmadapuram Map Poster & Print
Narmadapuram lies on the southern bank of the Narmada, one of India's major rivers. On a map the river is the defining line, a broad band running along the north of the city. The older quarter sits close to the water, with lanes running down to the ghats, while newer neighbourhoods and the railway spread south across flatter ground.
Until 2022 the city was called Hoshangabad. It was renamed after the river, which is held sacred and draws pilgrims to its bathing ghats, especially Sethani Ghat. The district extends south into the Satpura range, where the hill station of Pachmarhi is located, so the city stands between the river valley and the hills.
A Narmadapuram map poster places the river at the centre of the composition. The wide water surface gives a strong, clean edge, and the streets of the old town press up against it in a fine, irregular pattern. It is a map where the relationship between a city and its river is immediately clear, even at a glance.

Railway and roads
The railway and main roads cross the southern part of the city, creating strong straight lines that frame the older riverside quarter.

Warum Narmadapuram
Eine Karte mit Bedeutung
The Narmada holds deep meaning for many families in central India, and this poster turns that bond into something for the home. It is equally suited to someone who grew up in Hoshangabad and now lives far away.
You can change the title, the subtitle and the coordinates line. You might use the former or current name, or a date. Choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Blueprint makes the river stand out especially clearly.
