Novomoskovsk Map Poster & Print
Novomoskovsk in Tula Oblast was built largely from the 1930s onward as a planned industrial city. On the map this shows plainly: long, wide avenues, large rectangular blocks, and a composed central area, with chemical works and industrial zones set apart from the residential districts.
The city has changed names several times, known first as Bobriki and later as Stalinogorsk before becoming Novomoskovsk in 1961. The Don River rises in this area, and reservoirs and small lakes around the city mark the early course of one of Russia's major rivers.
A Novomoskovsk map poster brings out the deliberate design of the place: the straight lines of the planned centre, the looser outer districts, and the water bodies that break up the pattern. It is a strong, structured image, well suited to anyone interested in Soviet urban planning or with a personal tie to the city.

Source of the Don
The Don River begins its journey in the Novomoskovsk area, and the reservoirs and streams near the city appear as soft shapes among the streets.
Industrial zones
Large industrial sites sit apart from housing, visible as broad blocks with rail sidings and sparse roads, a reminder of the city's origin as a centre of chemical production.
