The town core
A compact grid of streets marks the old centre, the densest part of the map and the point where the main roads from the surrounding barangays meet.

Santa Barbara Map Poster & Print
Santa Barbara lies on the broad plain of central Pangasinan, in the Ilocos Region of northern Luzon. The land is low and almost level, and on a map this shows in the way the town spreads outward without any hills to push it into a particular shape. The streets are gathered in a modest central grid, and roads lead out across the countryside toward neighbouring towns.
Around the centre the pattern loosens. Barangays string along the roads, with houses lining the routes and fields filling the spaces between them. This is agricultural country, and on a monochrome print the open land becomes wide areas of blank paper around a thin network of roads and small clusters of streets.
A Santa Barbara map poster is a plain, honest portrait of a provincial town: a central core, the roads that tie it to the rest of the province, and the wide flat land around it. For anyone who grew up here or has family in the barangays, that simple pattern carries a lot of meaning.

Roadside barangays
Beyond the centre, settlement follows the roads in long ribbons, which gives the map a branching, radial look rather than a solid block of streets.
Open lowland
Level farmland around the town leaves large quiet spaces on the print, so the road network stands out clearly against the paper.
