Die Karte
Selong Map Poster & Print
Selong is the capital of East Lombok Regency on the island of Lombok, in the province of West Nusa Tenggara. It lies in the eastern lowlands of the island, on gently sloping ground between the mountainous interior and the coast. The surrounding landscape is rice fields, small villages and roads linking the scattered settlements.
As the administrative centre of the regency, the town has a modest core of government buildings, markets and residential streets, with roads fanning out to neighbouring towns. The street pattern is fairly regular in the centre and loosens toward the edges, where settlements blend into farmland along the roadsides.
To the north rises Mount Rinjani, the volcano that dominates Lombok and draws trekkers from around the world. A Selong map poster stays with the town itself, its compact centre and the roads that lead out of it, and leaves plenty of open space around the edges where the fields begin.

Radiating roads
Roads lead out from Selong to other towns in East Lombok. They draw long lines across the page and connect the town to its surroundings.
Farmland edge
The town gradually dissolves into rice fields and villages. On the map the lines thin out, leaving a calm, open frame around the settlement.
