Shiqiao Map Poster & Print
Shiqiao is a town in southeastern Gansu province, in a region of steep hills and narrow valleys on the western edge of the Qinling mountain area. On a map, the landscape constrains the settlement: the town follows the valley floor, with streets and buildings running in a long, narrow band beside the river and the road.
Around the town, the hills rise quickly, and their slopes are cut into agricultural terraces that appear as fine, contour-following lines. Small villages sit on the ridges and in side valleys, connected by winding roads that climb away from the main route.
This part of Gansu is largely rural, with farming on terraced land shaping both the economy and the look of the countryside. A Shiqiao map poster captures a place where geography makes the plan: a linear town held between hills.

Terraced slopes
Farmland on the hillsides is cut into terraces that follow the contours, giving the surrounding map a delicate, layered pattern of lines.
Mountain roads
Roads climb out of the valley toward villages on the ridges, twisting in tight curves that stand out against the straight line of the town.
