Village core
The centre is a tight cluster of narrow, irregular lanes. It is clearly denser than the land around it and easy to pick out at any print size.

Die Karte
Shiraguppi Map Poster & Print
Shiraguppi lies in the far south of Maharashtra, in the farming country of the Krishna river basin near the border with Karnataka. The land here is broad and fairly level, and the map shows it: a compact settlement at the centre, with roads leading out in several directions across a wide patchwork of fields.
This part of western India is heavily farmed, and sugarcane is a major crop across the region, watered by rivers and irrigation. Around towns like Shiraguppi, field boundaries, canals and farm tracks make up most of the map. The village core shows a denser pattern of lanes that grew without a formal plan.
A Shiraguppi map poster is an honest picture of a farming town: a close-knit centre and the working land around it. In black and white it looks calm and geometric, with straight field edges set against the irregular lanes at the centre of the town. It makes a meaningful piece for anyone with roots in the area.

Field patchwork
Farmland spreads around the town in a mosaic of plots and boundaries, a pattern of straight lines that fills much of the frame.
Radiating roads
Roads leave the town toward neighbouring villages and market towns. They cross the plain in long, fairly direct lines that frame the composition.
