Dense town core
The oldest part of Tahla appears as a tight weave of short streets and small blocks. It forms the darkest, most detailed area of the poster.

Tahla Map Poster & Print
Tahla lies in the Taza area of the Fes-Meknes region, where the Middle Atlas begins to rise north of the range. On a map the town is compact. A dense core of streets and closely packed houses sits on sloping ground, with newer blocks spreading along the roads leading out. Street lines bend to follow the terrain instead of running in a strict grid.
The countryside around Tahla is agricultural and hilly. Olive groves, cereal fields and seasonal watercourses break up the land, and the roads wind as they climb. On a printed sheet the difference is clear: fine, crowded streets in the centre give way to looser lanes and then to the long curving lines of rural routes crossing the foothills.
A Tahla map poster is a document of a mountain-edge town at a modest scale, a place many people remember from family visits or from growing up there. Rendered in monochrome, the contrast between the tight centre and the open slopes makes a composition that is plain, precise and recognisably its own.

Foothill roads
Routes leaving town curve with the slopes of the Middle Atlas foothills. Their winding lines give the edges of the map a sense of rising ground.
Seasonal watercourses
Stream beds and gullies cut through the surrounding farmland. On the map they add thin branching lines that hint at how water moves off the hills.

Warum Tahla
Eine Karte mit Bedeutung
For people from Tahla, and for families who have moved away to Fes, Casablanca or abroad, a map of the town is a quiet way to keep home on the wall. It is recognisable to those who know it and needs no caption.
The title, subtitle and coordinates can all be personalised, for example with a family name or a meaningful year. It comes in five styles: Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand.
