Tocantinópolis Map Poster & Print
Tocantinópolis is a town in the far north of Tocantins state, Brazil, on the western bank of the Tocantins River. Directly across the water lies Porto Franco, in the state of Maranhão, so the river is both a physical and a state border, and the two towns face each other across its broad channel.
From above, the town's streets form a regular grid that runs down to the riverbank. The river itself dominates the map, wide and gently curving, with sandbars and islands appearing depending on the season. Beyond the town, roads lead out across open cerrado and farmland.
A Tocantinópolis map poster is built around this river. The street grid sits along one bank, the neighbouring town along the other, and the large expanse of water between them gives the composition a strong, simple structure that works well at any size.

Riverside grid
The town's streets are laid out in a regular grid that extends down to the riverbank, a clear and orderly pattern against the natural curve of the water.
Twin town
Porto Franco lies directly across the river, so the map can show two towns in two states facing each other across the same stretch of water.
