Die Karte
Wilsonville Map Poster & Print
Wilsonville sits at the southern edge of the Portland metro area, on the north bank of the Willamette River. Interstate 5 runs straight through town and crosses the river on the Boone Bridge. On the map, the freeway divides the city into two halves, each with its own pattern of curving residential streets, business parks and open space.
The city grew quickly from the 1970s on as a planned community with a mix of housing and employers. It is the southern terminus of the WES commuter rail line to Beaverton. Along the river, parks and green spaces keep the waterfront largely open, and farmland still borders the city to the south and west.
A Wilsonville map poster shows how a modern Oregon suburb is put together. The river forms a broad natural edge, the interstate a hard straight line, and the neighbourhoods fill the spaces between in loops and crescents. It is an orderly, well-balanced composition.

I-5 and Boone Bridge
The interstate cuts north to south through the city and crosses the river on a single bridge. It is the map's most direct and defining line.
Curving neighbourhoods
Residential areas are laid out in loops and cul-de-sacs around parks and green strips. They contrast with the straight lines of the freeway and rail.
