Die Karte
Yau Tong Map Poster & Print
Yau Tong occupies the southeastern corner of Kowloon, in the Kwun Tong District of Hong Kong. The map shows a narrow band of land squeezed between steep hills and the water. Residential towers step up the slopes on curving access roads, while the flatter ground by the shore holds former industrial sites, newer developments and the MTR station.
The district faces Lei Yue Mun, the narrow channel that forms the eastern entrance to Victoria Harbour, with Hong Kong Island just across the water. Nearby, the Eastern Harbour Crossing emerges from beneath the sea. Lei Yue Mun's seafood village, at the water's edge, is one of the area's best-known destinations.
A Yau Tong map poster shows how much structure fits into a small space. The shoreline gives a sharp edge, the hill roads loop in tight switchbacks and the transport lines cut straight through. The result is dense and graphic, a portrait of how Hong Kong builds upward and inward wherever the land allows.

Hillside estates
Large housing estates sit on terraces cut into the slope, reached by roads that fold back on themselves. From above they read as tight, looping patterns.
Harbour crossing
The Eastern Harbour Crossing links Kowloon and Hong Kong Island beneath the water nearby, adding a firm line of road and rail approaches to the edge of the map.

Warum Yau Tong
Eine Karte mit Bedeutung
Yau Tong is home to tens of thousands of people, and many remember it through a particular estate, a school or the view across the channel. A map holds that detail more quietly than a skyline photograph.
You can set your own title, subtitle and coordinates line, adding a date or a name that matters. The map is available in Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand.
