Yufu Map Poster & Print
Yufu covers a mountainous part of Oita prefecture in Kyushu, and its best-known district, Yufuin, sits in a small basin below Mount Yufu. On a map the terrain dominates. Roads follow valleys and slopes, the town spreads across the flat floor of the basin, and forest and high grassland fill the space around it.
Yufuin is one of Japan's best-known hot spring towns. It is known for a quieter style of spa resort, with small inns, galleries and walking streets rather than large hotels. Lake Kinrin, fed partly by warm springs, often steams on cool mornings. Mount Yufu, with its distinctive double summit, rises to the northeast.
A Yufu map poster shows how closely the town and the mountains are connected. Winding lanes, the river through the basin and the roads climbing towards Beppu form a delicate network, and the surrounding high ground gives the composition a feeling of enclosure. It is a mountain map with a town at its centre.

Lake Kinrin
This small lake at the edge of the basin, known for its morning mist, appears as a compact shape of water among the lanes and inns.
Mount Yufu
The twin-peaked volcano rises northeast of the town. Roads curve around its lower slopes, and the empty space of the mountain gives the poster strong balance.

Warum Yufu
Eine Karte mit Bedeutung
For those who have spent a few quiet days in Yufuin, walking between the onsen and the lake, the map works as a record of the trip. It suits people who value slow travel and landscape.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, perhaps with the name of an inn or the date of a stay. Choose from five styles. Sand and Paper both work well with the warmth of a spa town.
