Slope towards the sea
The town descends from the Etna foothills towards the Ionian coast, and streets follow the fall of the land in long, curving lines.

Aci Catena Map Poster & Print
Aci Catena lies in the province of Catania, on the lower eastern slopes of Mount Etna, just inland from Acireale. It is one of several towns in the area whose names begin with Aci, a reference to the Acis of Greek myth, whose story is tied to the local river and coastline.
From above, the town sits on land that falls steadily from the volcano towards the sea. Streets run along and across the slope, forming a dense, irregular pattern, and the town merges on several sides with its neighbours, so the map shows a continuous fabric of settlements rather than a single isolated centre.
An Aci Catena map poster captures this closely built hillside. Winding roads, the tight lanes of older quarters and the terraces of citrus groves create a varied texture across the frame. It is a portrait of the Etna foothills as lived landscape, where towns, farmland and volcanic ground press closely together.

Connected Aci towns
Aci Catena blends into neighbouring towns, so the map shows a near-continuous urban fabric, with borders visible only through changes in street pattern.
Citrus terraces
Groves and terraced plots fill gaps between built-up areas, appearing as fine divisions that add a quiet rhythm to the edges of the map.
