Águas Santas Map Poster & Print
Águas Santas is a parish in the municipality of Maia, just northeast of Porto. On a map, it is part of the continuous built-up area around the city. Residential blocks, local streets and small squares sit alongside the major roads and motorway junctions that carry traffic in and out of Porto.
The name means holy waters. Like many parishes around Porto, the area grew from older villages that were gradually absorbed into the metropolitan area. On a map, that history shows in winding older roads threaded between newer, more orderly housing developments, with patches of green where stream valleys have been left open.
An Águas Santas map poster captures the texture of a suburban parish: dense, varied and shaped by the roads around it. It is a strong choice for people who live or grew up here and see it as a distinct place, not just part of the Porto sprawl.

Green valleys
Small stream valleys and open spaces break up the built-up area, creating pockets of white space in the dense fabric.
