’Aïn el Melh Map Poster & Print
’Aïn el Melh lies in the M'Sila province of Algeria, on the high steppe south of the Hodna basin. On the map, the town is compact, with a fairly regular grid of streets and blocks. At its edges, the built-up area ends against open, sparsely vegetated land, and roads head out across it in long, straight lines.
The name means salt spring in Arabic, a reminder of how much water sources matter in this dry region. The surrounding landscape is used for pastoralism and some farming, and the town serves as a local centre for a large, lightly populated area. Dry stream beds, or wadis, may appear as faint, branching lines on the map.
An ’Aïn el Melh map poster is a study in contrast between a tight urban grid and a wide, open land. The minimal black-and-white style suits the setting, and the empty space around the town becomes part of the design. It is a thoughtful choice for anyone with roots in the steppe of central Algeria.

Roads across the steppe
Long, straight roads leave the town across open country, linking it with other towns in the province. They make bold lines on the poster.
Open dry land
Sparse steppe surrounds the town on all sides, leaving wide empty space around the grid and giving the composition a calm, spare feel.
