Aldeias Altas Map Poster & Print
Aldeias Altas is a municipality in the east of Maranhão, in northeastern Brazil, in the region around the city of Caxias. Its name translates as high villages, and like many towns in the interior of the state it combines a small urban centre with a large rural territory of farms, scattered communities and open land.
The town itself follows the regular block pattern common to many small towns in the Brazilian interior. From there, roads run out across the countryside in long, gently curving lines, connecting outlying settlements. On a map the contrast is striking: a small, dense cluster of streets set within a very large and quiet field.
An Aldeias Altas map poster is intentionally spare, and that is its strength. The lines are few and clear, which suits minimalist styles and leaves room for a personal title. It is a thoughtful print for people born here who now live in São Luís, Teresina or further away, and who want to keep the shape of home in view.

Rural roads
Long roads extend from the centre into the countryside, drawing sparse lines across the frame toward the villages and farms of the municipality.
Open land
Much of the map is open ground, giving the composition generous empty space and a calm, uncluttered balance.

Towns like Aldeias Altas rarely appear on printed maps, which makes a poster of one feel personal. Add a family name, a birth year or a short phrase to the title and subtitle, and keep the coordinates to mark the exact place.
Sand suits the dry interior landscape, while Classic black & white and Noir emphasise the clean lines of the grid, and Paper and Blueprint are also available. Buy the $9 HD files in six sizes, or order a matte print with an optional wooden frame.
