Old village core
At the centre, short lanes bend and branch with no grid, a pattern typical of older Absheron villages. On the poster this is the densest and most intricate area of line work.

Amirdzhan Map Poster & Print
Amirdzhan, often written Amirjan, lies on the Absheron Peninsula in the Surakhani district of Baku, a short distance east of the city centre. The ground is almost level. From above you see a dense core of narrow, irregular lanes that grew out of an older village. Newer blocks surround it, and the straighter lines of roads run west toward the capital.
The peninsula's oil history shows in the land around the settlement. Service tracks, pipelines and cleared plots break up the open ground between villages, and on a monochrome map they become fine lines crossing large empty spaces. Amirdzhan is also linked to the oil industrialist Murtuza Mukhtarov. He was born here and paid for a mosque in the settlement at the start of the twentieth century.
An Amirdzhan map poster keeps the contrast between the tight village fabric and the looser suburban edges. In black and white, the curved old lanes look almost like a fingerprint, while the wider roads lead the eye out toward Baku and the other Absheron settlements. Few printed maps show this place, and the poster gives it a quiet, precise portrait.

Level peninsula ground
The Absheron landscape is flat and dry, so the map has no hills to shade. All of its structure comes from streets, plot boundaries and the occasional straight road across open land.
Roads toward Baku
Wider routes link Amirdzhan with neighbouring settlements and the capital to the west. They give the composition clear directional lines that frame the compact village centre.

དོན་དག་ཡོད་པའི་ས་ཁྲ།
For families with roots on the Absheron Peninsula, Amirdzhan is a specific place, not just a suburb on the way somewhere else. A map of its lanes is a restrained way to keep that connection on the wall, whether you live in Baku or far away.
You can set your own title, subtitle and coordinates line, for example to add a family name or a meaningful date. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, then download the $9 HD files or order a matte print with an optional wooden frame.
