Historic lanes
The old part of town is a close weave of narrow, winding lanes and courtyard houses, built for shade and shelter. It forms the most intricate part of the map.

Ardestān Map Poster & Print
Ardestān lies in Isfahan Province in central Iran, where the mountains of the interior give way to the Dasht-e Kavir, the great salt desert. From above, the town is a dense core of narrow lanes and enclosed courtyards. It thins out into walled gardens, farmland and then open desert, with the ridges rising on one side.
It is one of the old towns of the Iranian plateau. Its Jameh Mosque dates largely from the Seljuk period and is known for its brick architecture. Like many settlements on the desert edge, Ardestān has long relied on qanats, underground channels that carry water from the foothills to its fields and gardens.
An Ardestān map poster captures the character of a desert town shaped by shade and water. The winding historic lanes contrast with the straighter streets of later growth, and the green patches around the town stand out against the empty land beyond. The result is a map of density at the edge of open space.

Jameh Mosque
The town's Friday mosque, largely from the Seljuk era, sits within the historic fabric and is one of Ardestān's best-known landmarks.
Desert edge
Beyond the gardens and fields, the streets end quickly and open land takes over, marking the start of the plain that leads toward the Dasht-e Kavir.
