The Nile edge
The river runs along the western side of the town and sets the direction of its streets, giving the whole map a strong north–south axis.

Aş Şaff Map Poster & Print
Aş Şaff lies in Giza Governorate, south of Cairo on the eastern bank of the Nile. Seen from above, it follows the river's line rather than spreading from a single centre. Streets run lengthwise through the town, and narrower lanes branch off toward the fields and the water. The plan is long and narrow, shaped by the river, and reads more like a ribbon than a disc.
The land around the town is a clear record of how the Nile Valley is farmed. Irrigation channels and field boundaries divide the flat ground into small, uneven parcels, and village clusters sit among them like knots in a net. Further east, the cultivated strip stops abruptly where the desert begins. The line between the two is one of the most distinctive edges anywhere on a map of Egypt.
An Aş Şaff map poster turns this pattern of river, channels and settlement into fine black linework. Streets become dense, knotted texture, and the open desert becomes calm white space along one side of the sheet. The result is a quiet portrait of a Nile town that is more about orientation and rhythm than about monuments, and it works well at every print size.

Irrigation lines
Thin canals and field boundaries cut the farmland into a fine mesh, a pattern typical of the Nile Valley that looks especially crisp in black and white.
Where the desert begins
East of the fields, the streets and channels stop and open ground takes over, leaving a clean, empty margin across the poster.

For people from Aş Şaff or with family along this stretch of the Nile, the map is a direct reminder of home: the river, the fields and the lanes between them, drawn without decoration so the place itself carries the image.
You can set your own title, subtitle and coordinates line, for example a family name or a date that matters, and choose one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, which suits the desert tones well.
